Leadership Center at Morehouse College
The mission of the Leadership Center at Morehouse College (LCMC) is to train a new generation of leaders to address pressing contemporary, ethical and social concerns, especially those affecting African American life and culture.
Established in 1995 with a $1 million grant from The Coca-Cola Foundation, the Center is distinctive in its capacity to provide leadership education, research and training. Since 2010, Dr. Melvinia Turner King has served in an interim position as the second executive director of LCMC. In conducting research on LCMC and working with the founding Executive Director Dr. Walter Earl Fluker, her book published by Mellon Press, is based on his theoretical work in ethical leadership. Dr. King continues this established legacy by utilizing Fluker’s Ethical Leadership Model©, as an international tool in promoting ethical and academic excellence at Morehouse College.
